About Us
Craig Marlatt began his ministry in 1976 when he started sharing his music and testimony in juvenile detention centers, jails and prisons in Central Florida and across America. Craig Marlatt Evangelistic Association, Inc. was originally founded under the name Firewind Ministries, Inc. in 1980 with the opening of our street ministry called the Good Samaritan Coffeehouse in Orlando, Florida. That began as a joint effort between Craig and his wife Jolyn with Sandy and Marcia Pfeiffer, who now live in Louisiana. Since then the ministry has evolved into foreign and domestic missions as well as pioneer ministry works of various types and in many places.

The vision and calling of this ministry is, and has always been, to take the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to anyone who will listen, anywhere they can be found. We believe the Bible is the Word of God revealing Himself, His Truth, His Purpose, His Omnipotence and His love for all of His creation as finally manifested by the Life, death and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ."Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12), and that "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

We believe in the Church as an organism and not as a building, although we understand and accept that many, if not most, gatherings of believers today take place in structures called churches. Still, God's Word teaches that it is the believer and not the building that is the Temple of God. "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;" (Act 17:24) And further , "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" (1 Corinthians 3:16)

Our organization consists of a Board of Directors elected annually, and is a member organization of the Association of International Gospel Assemblies, Inc. (A.I.G.A). This association is a Not-For-Profit 501(c) (3) Christian organization that has been chartered for over forty years covering and equipping ministers and ministries for fulfilling the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. With churches, ministries, ministers and missionary organizations in the U.S. and many countries of the world, A.I.G.A. is actively involved in educating, supporting, sending and serving independent ministers and ministry organizations that have a proven calling and qualifications for service in Christian ministry. (2 Tim. 2:2)

Craig Marlatt Evangelistic Association is committed to the unity of the Body of Christ and is not associated with any denomination, except by love of the brethren and a commitment to adhere to the teachings of the Bible as a way of understanding the will of God for all humanity. Understanding that the Church of Jesus Christ is made up from many different races, cultures and peoples, joined by our common faith in, and obedience to God, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures of the Bible, we teach the same. 1 Corinthians 12:12 say’s, “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.”  And again, recognizing the diversity of ministry gifts in God’s Church, “But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”  (1 Cor. 12:11)

For this reason we recognize our duty and commitment to God to honor and serve all true believers wherever opportunity or need arises, and whenever our help is possible.  Also to reach out to and serve those who are outside of the family of believers, so as to represent Christ on the earth as He instructed saying,“Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. “ (Mt. 25:40)

We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again to bring final and victorious redemption to his people, and to judge the disobedient that have rejected his love and efficacious sacrifice on the Cross where He died to pay for their sins nearly 2000 years ago. By this act of divine obedience He has overcome all of the enemies of man and God, reversing the effect of spiritual death brought upon creation through the disobedience of our first parents, Adam and Eve.

By offering this free gift of Salvation to anyone who will come to Him, Jesus Christ is justified in rejecting those who do not believe, seeing that He has accomplished all that was required by God’s righteousness for payment of sin, and offered it freely to whoever will repent of their sins and turn to God through Jesus Christ. Wherefore He says, “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:15), and again, “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” (Rev 22:17)

This is the Gospel of Christ of which we believe and teach, and there is no other put forth in the Scripture as declared the Holy Apostles and believers past who have gone before and now await the final redemption of God’s Holy family into eternal bliss in the everlasting Kingdom of God.   (Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 12:1,2; Rev. 21:1-8;)

We are not "Bible thumpers" but we are Bible believers. Although Craig himself prefers the King James Version of the Bible, he does not demand that others do the same, but we do hold to the foundational revelations that have been understood and adhered to by the Church that was founded by Jesus Christ and sent out with His first Holy Apostles and followers.
