This is the Blog for the Craig Marlatt Evangelistic Association website at www.craigmarlatt.org. This blogsite was created primarily to dispurse information concerning Bible Teaching, Devotional Studies, Church Happenings, Ministry in the World, Evangelism, World Missions and Events that are impacting our time. Craig Marlatt is the administrator and writes what will be posted within, with the exception of other articles of interest that he chooses from selected writers, teachers and thinkers.
Feel free to comment as you see fit, though this is not a Blogsite for arguing doctrine. That’s what Forums are for. Please restrict any comments to the topic discussed in the particular blog article you are reading.
Today, for those of us who are in Christian ministry, the World Wide Web presents tremendous opportunities for reaching the masses who spend time on the Internet. Few could have predicted the rapid rise of the Internet as a medium for such varied influence into nearly all of our world. The social, economic, religious, scientific, educational, political, moral, immoral and personal information to which it now gives us access is altogether fascinating, useful and terrifying.
For some, cyberspace is the primary world within which they function and live. They eat, breath, work, play, learn, teach, exchange, buy, sell, trade, flourish and fail; all done while sitting in front of a video monitor[s] connected to a pc, mac, a laptop, an i-pod, or a cellphone full of electronic wonders connecting them to a world that exists and functions in the electro-magnetic world of telecommunication airwaves.
Noting that the Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:2 that the evil spirit (satan) working in the children of disobedience is also know as ‘The Prince of the power of the air’, this certainly adds affirmation to the idea that the Internet can be a tremendous source for evil.
Since we who believe are told to overcome evil with good (Rom. 12:2), we at CMEA offer our resistance in the form of Bible Truth, knowing that “Greater is He that is in [us[, than he that is in the world” (I John 4:4) and, “ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”. (John 8:32)
If in these pages you find some hope and strength for your own journey, then it is well worth any effort put forth here by the author. If you yourself are in need of a relationship with Christ or find that you have questions and feel we can help in any way I heartily recommend that you go the Article entitled God’s Plan of Salvation in the Blog Category Knowing God.
May the Lord Bless you with favor and grace as you follow Him,
Craig Marlatt
